What are Covenant Groups?
What is the Seeds Covenant
The Seeds Covenant is an attempt at naming the spirit of conversations, connections
and commitments that take place around themes of spirituality, community and
mission that have emerged out of the life of Urban Seed. Groups covenant around the following ideas...

Know the Word:
Includes our approach to worship gatherings,
bible study, and public missional conversations ala city walks and seminar
series. We encourage punters to think and
write around the gospel lectionary readings for the website and to preach.
Grow Home through Slow Food:
We encourage punters to explore themes of
poverty, chastity and obedience in creating a sense of shared community around
an open table.
Go Engage:
Theological ideas and practical means of
Teaching, Healing and Casting out Evil are workshopped in order for a group to
engage in local mission.
Seedy punters and Locality based
household/cluster groups meet during Lent to discern the meaning of the charism
using a Quaker style approach of queries and advices.
A
gathering of the mobs is held around Pentecost to celebrate our common
connections and commitments.
Each
year clusters appoint a Deacon and/or Guardian for the task of
nurturing the resources of the Seeds collective and to build
connections between other cluster mobs.
